Dear Secretary Lam,

I am writing to you regarding the case of Hong Kong activist Leung Kwok-hung (also known as "Long Hair"), who is currently imprisoned and who faces a possible life sentence if convicted in another trial against him.

Leung Kwok-hung is one of a group of former lawmakers and activists prosecuted in the largest mass trial under the National Security Law, a group called the "HK47". Leung was charged with "conspiracy to commit subversion" for taking part in self-organized "primaries" by the political opposition for legislative elections.

As member / sympathizer of Amnesty International, I respectfully urge you to take all necessary steps to end Leung Kwok-hung’s prosecution and to ensure his immediate and unconditional release. In addition, all of the other HK47 must be released immediately and unconditionally because they have been targeted simply for exercising their rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly.
